Atlanta, GA - Aviation Information Resources (AIR, Inc.), an Atlanta-based pilot career information and counseling service, and US Airways have agreed on a proposal that will provide the 150 recently furloughed pilots at US Airways with a job search seminar specifically designed for them, along with a one-year membership in AIR, Inc.’s Airline Pilot Career Development System.

US Airways’ furloughed pilots can attend the job search seminar located in Charlotte, NC, on September 4, 1997. The seminar will provide the pilots with an industry analysis, job search planning and interview techniques with Kit Darby, president of AIR, Inc., as featured speaker. In addition to the seminars, each pilot will be provided with a membership that includes a binder filled with timely, informative material that offers one-stop assistance in their job search. Along with the material, they will also have access to AIR, Inc.’s 800 career counseling department. The staff of experienced counselors are equipped to handle piloting problems and questions, while providing step-by-step interview preps.

“US Airways will provide its furloughed pilots with the same services we have been providing our own pilot members for over eight years,” said Mr. Darby. AIR, Inc. is in the business of helping pilots lay the groundwork to conduct a successful job search by furnishing them with up-to-date information and the materials they need to get the airline job they want. “We will be the vital link between the 150 furloughed pilots at US Airways and the 12,000+ airline pilot jobs available in 1997,” Mr. Darby added.
