AIR, INC. SCREENS PILOTS FOR AIRNET EXPRESS
AIR, Inc.’s ACES program provides AirNet Express with résumé, application, and phone screening services

Atlanta, GA - Aviation Information Resources, Inc. (AIR, Inc.), an Atlanta-based pilot career information, counseling, and screening service, has contracted with AirNet Express, a Columbus, OH-based express cargo carrier, to screen résumés, screen and distribute applications, and provide telephone applicant screening, for new-hire piston twin Captains.

“The contract between AIR, Inc. and AirNet Express will enable AirNet to save money by interviewing fewer, but better qualified pilots and allow AirNet to focus more attention on the testing and simulator checkride portion of the interview process at Port Columbus Int’l Airport. AIR, Inc. will screen résumés, distribute and process applications, and manage their telephone interview process on selected AirNet new-hires,” said Kit Darby, President of AIR, Inc. “To ensure a smooth transition from AirNet’s current screening and hiring process to the new process, AIR, Inc. has established a toll-free fax number for pilots to send résumés, plus a toll free voice mail and Fax Back Information System to handle inquires about the new selection process.” AIR, Inc. is not a stranger to providing screening services for carriers. Since April of 1998, AIR, Inc. has been under contract by Atlas Air, a New York City based cargo carrier, to screen résumés, distribute applications, and conduct background checks for their Boeing-747 First Officer new-hires, resulting in the screening of more than 4,000 résumés to date. In 1995, AIR, Inc. assisted World Airways with pilot recruitment and candidate selection for their MD-11 new-hire program, providing résumé/application screening, conducting telephone interviews, and making recommendations to World Airways’ Human Resources and Flight Operations departments, resulting in the selection of 50 MD-11 First Officers in about 60 days.

AirNet Express is one of the world’s largest FAR 135 air carriers operating with 120 aircraft including 41 Barons, 13 Aerostars, 16 Cessna 310s, 18 Piper Chieftains, 27 Learjet 35s, and 4 Learjet 25s carrying canceled checks and high priority small packages coast to coast.
