Receiving 17 in ’03 Retirement by year & 2000: Minimum Requirements: 2,500 TT or 1,500 TT turbine including a min of 1,000 PIC in turbine as defined by FAR Part I, ATP, B737 type rating, 3 letters of recommendation from individuals who can attest to your flying skills, 4-year college degree preferred, Min age 23, FAA Class I, Pass FAA mandated drug test. Competitive Qualifications: N/A. Application Process: Supplemental app required for interview. When reviewing supplemental app, those who meet min quals will be invited to an interview on a competitive basis. Pilots can reapply after 2 yrs from the date of the original app or twice within a 5-yr window. After 11/1 only accepting new applications w/a B737 type rating. All apps currently on file with/without type rating will remain on file and will eventually be called when SWA resumes interviewing. SWA is "grandfathering" those apps on file & carrier is honoring the committment made to interview everyone who met min quals.
