The Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) has chosen Aviation Information Resources Inc. (AIR) to provide career services to its furloughed pilots. The alliance is designed to help the more than 5,600 ALPA members furloughed following the attacks of September 11, 2001. Under the agreement, the pilots will receive a free one-year e-subscription to AlR's monthly magazine, Airline Pilot Careers, as well as free access to AIRApps, an online e-application and job referral service. In addition, a "Special Membership" for $50 (normally $199) plus $10 shipping and handling will be available to furloughed ALPA members.
