History Timeline
Kit Darby, owner and President of AIR, Inc. (Retired United Airlines B-757/767 Captain), entered into a partnership with FAPA in 1983. FAPA, Future Aviation Professionals of America, was owned by Louis Smith. Kit Darby owned one-third of FAPA and worked in the capacity of Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales. During Darby's tenure employment with FAPA, he brought the company from near bankruptcy to $3.6M in annual sales, started the Career Day seminar series, authored and published numerous books including the Annual Salary Survey, and Simulator Training Manual.
